Working through issues that have haunted me for years, have now been \nlaid to rest. A very freeing experience. It was difficult to start \nwith, not to say anything in our breakout room but soon saw the point of\n allowing the other person space and time to release what they had to \nsay and also for myself. STERBS have become a watch phrase to ensure \nempathy of others and knowing they are grieving. I have since written \nother completion letters and found a peace within which previously I \nhave wrestled with. The facilitator was excellent in the way they \nhandled difficult situations and was empathetic when the need arose. Our\n sessions were online and week by week the facilitator would share how \nto use the technology in front of us! We had laughter, tears, virtual \nhugs and flowers given; all over zoom!<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The programme taught me that I didn't have to say goodbye to my friend \nas a whole just the physical person but not the relationship and \nmemories I had of her. It helped me look back at the relationship in \nit's entirety not just the last painful memories of her illness and \ndeath. It helped me to remember my friend and smile as well as cry. \nIt also helped me to look at another difficult relationship in my life \nfor which I had carried a lot of emotional baggage for a lifetime and \ncome to terms with it. The Grief recovery Method is very good for \nlooking at all difficult relationships in your life and helps you to \nmove forward . i think the skills learned will stay with me into the \nfuture and I can use them for any future grief I may have<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The programme has helped me reflect on all aspects of grief. It has supported me in working through my relationship with my mum who passed away over 20 years back and helped me to take action on items that had been left unsaid. Things that, while working through the programme, were clearly still weighing heavy and affecting everyday decisions. I found the program excellent. It helped me to identify my difficulties in dealing with the loss of my partner were much more than that event, has helped me deal with those difficulties and set me on to a road where I feel I can see that there is a way forward. I cannot think of anything that this money could have been better spent on and will certainly recommend the program to others.

This program has made me understand the different aspects of grief, the misconceptions of what is expected and given me an understanding of the reactions when you experience grief. Although it can be emotionally tough at times, working through this process has enabled me to complete relationships and help me move forward. I will continue to use what I have learned in the future. Dinah is a superstar!
